Tabitha's Companions - A Gathering of Threads Ministry
A group of ladies got together to make baby items and lap blankets for adults. Our name was
inspired by the Bible story in Acts 9: 36-40.
Tabitha’s meets every Tuesday from 1-4PM in the Good Shepherd Room. All are welcome even
if you can only give one afternoon. We make items that are crocheted, knitted or sewn from
fabrics that have been donated. All of our baby items are given to the Gabriel Project and the
adult lap blankets are given to the St Francis Cancer Center in Mooresville. We also make
prayer shawls that are given to anyone in need.
Contact Jan Russell or Lynn Eva through the church office 317-831-4142 for more information.

- “Now in Joppa there was a disciple named Tabitha. She was completely occupied with good deeds and almsgiving. Now during those days, she fell sick and died. After washing her, they laid her out in the room upstairs. Since Lydda was near Joppa, thedisciples hearing that Peter was there, sent two men to him with the request “Pleasecome to us without delay.
- So, Peter got up and went with them. When he arrived, they took him to the room upstairs, where all the widows came to him weeping and showing him the tunics and cloaks that Tabitha had made. Peter sent them all out and knelt down and prayed. Thenhe turned to her body and said, “Tabitha rise up.” She opened her eyes, saw Peter, and sat up.”

Naomi’s Friends for Widows
Widows of the parish gather together for comradery, companionship and friendship. We have taken the name of Naomi from the Book of Ruth - Chapter 1:1-18. The book of Ruth is named for the Moabite woman who commits herself to the Isrealite people by an oath to her mother-in-law Naomi. Ruth becomes the great-grandmother of David by her marriage to Boaz of Bethlehem. She is an ancestor in the messianic line that leads to Jesus (Mt 1:15)
We ladies meet in the high school classroom from 2-4pm every 4th Tuesday of the month. We have various activities from projects to games to cards to conversation. Please feel free to join us!

Friends of St. Monica
St Monica prayed, wept, and pleaded with her son and with God for over fifteen years. She stands as a model of both patience and persistence for all of us who have prodigal sons and daughters.
Also every first Monday of the month we will pray the Patriotic Rosary for our country to be united under one God again.

- We pray the rosary every Monday morning at 11am in the church for those of our family that fallen away from the Catholic faith. Blessed St Monica, mother of St Augustine, our Father in Heaven, who looked with mercy upon your tears over your wayward son. His conversion and heroic sanctification were the fruit of your prayers. Dear St Monica, we now ask you to pray with us for all those sons and daughters that have wandered away from God, and to add your prayers to those of all mothers who are worried over their children. St Monica, pray for us. Amen
