Bicentennial Faith Celebration
Sunday, September 29th, 3:00 p.m.
NEW LOCATION: FRIENDS CHURCH, 50 N Monroe Street Join the community for a special celebration of faith as part of Mooresville's Bicentennial Events. The worship service will include a brief history of the role churches played in Mooresville's founding, a portrayal of Samuel and Eliza Moore and a performance by a community choir. St. Thomas More Garage and Barn Sale
Thursday, August 29th & Friday, August 30th
Set up for the St. Thomas More garage sale will begin on August 19 at 9am. Volunteers may come to the gym and work at their own pace and however long they desire. Please bring a drink and snack or your lunch if you plan on being there all day.
Donations may be brought into the gym or the barn. Please phone the office so they can unlock the doors. Furniture should go in the barn. Clothing, household items, toys, Christmas decorations, shoes, purses, books etc, will go in the gym.
Items donated must be clean, unbroken, no damage or missing parts. Please do not bring any computers, wires, cables, old phones, old TVs, appliances that are rusted/dirty or broken, all clothing should be clean and in good condition, no mattresses of any form (no crib/baby mattresses).
If you would like to bring a larger item, such as a car, boat, swimming pool, log splitter, etc and place your price on the item; we will display it with that information attached. You may price the item and consider giving a percentage of the sale price (or the entire sale price) to the Church. If the item does not sell, you will be required to come & pick it up. We apologize for any inconvenience this might cause.

We will be ordering STM t-shirts, the cost is $18 and the purchaser bears the cost of each shirt ordered. Once we have an order for 25 t-shirts, there will be about a 2-week lead time on the delivery of the T-shirts. Orders will be taken through August 24th. Swan to be Keynote Speaker for August Gala
We're thrilled to have WTHR's Scott Swan as the Keynote Speaker for this year's Churches in Mission Gala. In addition to his Emmy-winning reporting, Swan is know for his Sending the Love campaign to support those in need. This year's gala will be Thursday, August 22nd, at The Sycamore at Mallow Run and have a wester "Mission Roundup" theme. In addition to Swan's presentation, the event includes dinner, a silent and live auction. More info at http://churchesinmission.org.
